Located northwest of Washington D.C, Bethesda, Maryland stands proud as one of the most prosperous and educated communities in the United States. Originally named after the local church –the Bethesda meeting house built in 1820, Bethesda rose in stature with the growth of the government in Washington. Today, the city houses a flourishing economy with around 200 restaurants, multiple theatres, several art galleries, boutiques and shopping centers.
