Each visit will be different, with new exhibits and memorabilia on display.
The Mansion on O Street was designed by Edward Clark, the same architect who crafted the U.S. Capitol Building. It began as a single building, but over time, the owners connected four neighboring houses, creating a four-story complex. The museum offers several guided tours, including one that reveals hidden doors. One such tour is dedicated to the legacy of Dr. Rosa Parks, and a special tour reveals the rooms where she spent time most.

The O Museum offers a hands-on experience that enables visitors to experience art in new ways. One of DC's most unique attractions, the O allows guests to touch pieces, read manuscripts, hear rare studio cuts, and journey through various architectural styles. Exhibits include the Log Cabin, John Lennon Suite, Safari room, and Mrs. Rosa Parks' room. This is where she lived for nearly a decade, and it was her home away from home.
Upon purchasing the O Street Mansion in 1980, H.H. Leonards had it restored and built a five-story companion annex on the site. He was mentored by Mrs. Parks, and they often held gospel brunches in the garden. Her room is located on the third floor, and her signed letters are now included in the museum's collection. A variety of other historic artifacts from the period are also featured.
